ANOTHER TV FINAL FOR CHIZZY

Dave reached the final of the Players Championship Finals at Burlins Minehead.

A 6-4 win on Friday over Kevin Painter was followed on Saturday with wins over Jamie Lewis 6-4 and Jelle Klaasen 10-9 to move into the quarter finals.

JAMES' MAKE CHIZZY SIT DOWN

It was an unhappy return to Wolverhampton for Dave, where he made the final two years ago, as he failed to progress through the group stages at the Grand Slam of Darts.

Drawn in Group G, he lost out 2-5 in his initial match against James Wilson.

In his second match, Chizzy came up against an in form Jamie Hughes and lost 1-5.

Despite a 5-3 win over James Wade in the final game, it was too little too late for Dave.

EARLY CHEXIT FOR DAVE

Chizzy didn't enjoy a successful Unibet European Championship at the Ethias Arena in Belgium.

Dave lost out in the first round 3-6 to Australian, Kyle Anderson.

WORLD SERIES SEMI FOR CHIZZY

After travelling the globe as part of the 2016 World Series, Dave reached the semi finals as the series due to a close with the grand finals in Glasgow.

An impressive performance in his second round win over Kim Huybrechts 6-4 was followed by another solid display against two-time former World Champion Adrian Lewis as Chizzy won 10-6.

In the semi final, Dave faced world number one Michael van Gerwen, where he eventually lost out 3-10.
